I have experienced men calling me their “Dirty Whore” or “Slut” during wild and abandoned sex and it always makes me really mad.
It does more than make me mad, it stops me feeling sexy. The wild, abandoned sex turns into a forceful shove in which I make it VERY clear that I no longer consent to any of the experience.
If the intent was to fuel my sexual excitement, I am afraid it seriously backfired each and every time.
I don’t think these men wanted to hurt or offend me. I think they thought they were feeding my energy in some way - but they could not have been more wrong.
What they didn’t understand is that when I am sexually wild, orgasmic and free I do not consider myself dirty, slutty, shameful or wrong. On the contrary I consider myself a DIVINE GODDESS in these moments.
I have learned to surrender to all the sensation, the pleasure and the orgasmic bliss in my body during sex because I have learned that that my sexuality, my body and my sexual energy are sacred and divine.
I mean, how can you feel truly beautiful and incredibly sexual if you're carrying around a belief that your sexuality is dirty, sinful, shameful, wrong…..”slutty”?
How can you experience an exquisite sexual connection with your partner if your body is filled with sex negative programming? How can you surrender to bliss if you (or your partner) are showing up for sex, not from a place of female empowerment, but rather with a sense that sexually wild and free women are “dirty sluts”?
How about we reclaim the word “slut”?
How about understanding a slut as an empowered sexual woman who knows that her sexuality is a gift from The Divine and feels amazing with it.
How about reclaiming the truth that a slut is a woman who knows her own body, knows her own desires, knows how to access and harness her own sexuality and knows how to activate and harness her partner’s sexual energy.
How about recognising that a slut is actually a very powerful woman. (Which is, of course, why “slut” and her sister word “cunt” have been so demonised by patriarchal society.)
When we love our slut for being a powerful, divine and gifted energy within us the way we experience sex takes on a completely different flavour than when we think of our sexy slut as a dirty, sinful or shameful part of us.
When we show up in life generally, but for sex in particular, feeling liberated from shame and armed with the knowledge that “slut” is our divine feminine energy sex becomes all about OUR power and pleasure.
Empowered sluts know that our sexuality is unbelievably divine. We know we are divine beings because we feel so much pleasure and energy in our bodies.
Empowered sluts understand that our sexuality has divine purpose. We know that it is both sacred and divine to feel and move sexual energy, to experience pleasure with this energy and share pleasure so that we can expand our energy and connect with The Divine.
Empowered sluts know that everyone has a powerful energetic connection to The Divine, that we can all experience and nourish through our sexuality, but that too many people have been separated from this divine connection through shame and other societal fears.
Empowered sluts don’t fear or hide their sexuality. We revel in it. We celebrate sex and our gloriously sexual bodies.
Empowered sluts know that at our core all humans are deeply sexual beings, and that we are sexual so that we can connect to each other and to The Goddess/God/Source Energy beyond us.
Connecting to your empowered slut (aka Divine Self) is the most powerful way to access the deeper, richer, more powerful sexual experiences you crave.
